Beacon Hill Park and the beach are a few blocks away. The Coho Ferry Terminal (ferry from Port Angeles, Washington USA) and the Victoria Clipper (passenger only high speed ferry from Seattle Washington USA) are less than five minutes by car. The Parliament Buildings, the Empress Hotel, and the many shops in the popular Government Street area are all within a four block radius, as are horse drawn carriage tours and whale watching outlets. The Victoria International Airport is a thirty minute drive, and vehicles may be rented at the terminal or at service counters in Victoria. The downtown intercity bus station is four blocks away, and the closest city bus stop is one block. The Swartz Bay B. C. Ferry Terminal (for arrivals from mainland British Columbia or the Sunshine Coast) is slightly more than a thirty minute drive, and for those arriving into the Nanaimo Ferry Terminal, the B& B is about and hour and a half drive.
