We thought that integrating the design of the hotel into a downtown market an interesting innovation. The street level entrance was however a disappointment and a bit off-putting with an understated doorway with less than fresh paintwork. Despite this the room was well furnished with a great view. The desk clerks were helpful. The room hallways we thought were a bit dark and perhaps repainting in a lighter colour and adding some artwork and more light might help.

The drive gave an opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the city of Vancouver. We had exciting views from the Lions Gate Bridge. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was a nice room with amenities and good views of harbour and city. The hotel is situated over a market/restaurant complex, all good. There were other good restaurants within walking distance.

"Vancouver stay"

We loved the location of hotel and loved the variety of shopping. We bought plenty of items and did lots of sightseeing. The only complaint about the hotel was that even though it was okay not to change the sheets each day, the beds should have been remade and not just the comforter thrown over them.

As a family staying at this hotel was an excellent jumping off point for our trips throughout Vancouver. The mall in the basement was great for shopping for food. The staff was friendly and informative. We would stay there again.

"Our Stay In Vancouver"

When we arrived we knew nothing of Vancouver. We thought the ferry transportation would be a nuisance, but it turned out to be great! The marketplace atmosphere was inexpensive and nice to come back to at night. We were only there 2 nights as we were taking a cruise, but we did enjoy our stay. We would recommend it to friends. EasyRez was very good and knowledgeable.

"A Pleasant Surprise"

When the time came to make our hotel reservation, I discovered that most hotels of all grades in Vancouver were booked full. The Lonsdale Quay Hotel was the only place with rooms available. Well, what a pleasant surprise! Our room overlooked Vancouver Bay, the restaurants in the arcade were among the best we found in Vancouver, and the water taxi was only a very short distance from the hotel, putting us only 15 minutes from downtown! Because of the water taxi, and the bus station nearby, we were able to navigate easily all around Vancouver from the hotel. So don't let the seemingly remote location fool you!
