"Staff @ breakfast"

The staff were very helpful as I was a Volunteer for the Paralympics.
The house was empty when I arrived, key was left in an envelope taped to door, This was o.K as I'm Canadian, but awkward if you speak another language. The breakfast could do with an update, little sparse.
No coffee or tea maker in room.
Staff was great.

"Vancouver Vacation"

Our family group of seven adults enjoyed staying at this B&B in August 2009. Wonderful breakfasts, helpful owner recommended excursions and provided lots of information about Vancouver and history of the area where the home is located. We enjoyed being in a neighborhood of Victorian homes in walking distance to Broadway with many restaurants and shopping. We found the bus system and other transportation easy to use. We found this B&B comparable to other B&Bs we have stayed at in other cities with pleasant rooms nicely furnished and a wonderful front porch for resting and visiting!

The room was a bit odd, with an elevated area containing the two single beds for the younger children, but my 11 year old son hit his head more than one on that "ceiling"!
Our room had a stove top and oven which didn't work, and though a hotplate was provided, we couldn't make frozen pizzas or anything baked/broiled.
On the bright side, the made-to-order breakfasts were fantastic and gave us a lot of energy to start the day.
The location was very convenient, about midway between the airport and downtown. The price, especially considering breakfast was included, seemed fair, though I thought we should have gotten a small discount since the description was so at odds with what was offered on arrival.

"service at Cambie Lodge"

The best way to describe this B&B is to say they are very casual and offhand. Nobody really cares about the guests. We had 2 stays, 2 weeks apart, of 2 days each. The first day of the first stay our room was not made up. When we complained after checking with other guests whose rooms had been done, we were told we must have had our things on the bed etc. We did not!! In other words, receive a complaint, blame the guests. Not acceptable!
We never found out who was in charge, who owned it etc. Different people came and went, all quite nice but not able to deliver service to Canadian standards. In other words, where does the buck stop? Is anyone actually accountable?
A pity, because the property and rooms are nice. We could do without plastic flowers but that is not the issue. Breakfast and other guests were great. However, someone at the B&B should take charge.

"Free use of the house!"

I loved the fact that we could use the fridge in the kitchen to store our own stuff, and basically could help ourselves to tea or coffee and then sit at the veranda. The room was bigger than I expected.

Our originally requested place was fully booked, but EasyRez immediately suggested this other place, which completely fulfilled our requirements.
