Founded in the late 1780's this one time capital of the Province of Canada sits upon the shores of Lake Ontario. Toronto is a city of high rises with over 2000 buildings reaching over 90 metres; second only to New York City. The signature CN Tower, an important telecommunications hub and a centre of tourism in the city is the tallest tower in the western hemisphere and defines the city skyline.

Toronto has professional baseball, football and hockey teams to keep sports fans cheering. Visitors enjoy world class museums, theatres and shopping at popular Toronto's Eaton Centre. September brings a chance to do some star gazing at the Toronto International Film Festival.
