"Very nice and very good location"

It was very good. Service was perfect and people were very nice. The room was clean and the hotel is right in the Vieux-Quebec.

"The Great Escape"

If you want to go to Europe and you do not have the time or you do not want to pay the airfare--go to Old Quebec City. The people are friendly; the food is great, as is the shopping. The walled fortress city is rich with history and quite captivating.

"Christmas vacation "

This property was VERY convenient: right across the square from the Chateau Frontenac, the Funiculaire to the Lower City, and the walkway (Dufferin Terrace) overlooking the St. Lawrence. We parked our car and never used it. We walked everywhere! Our rooms were elegant but not formal, and very comfortable. The service was excellent and friendly: especially our host, who told us great places to go, greeted us cheerfully at breakfast, and put up with our high school French. She spoke perfect English but we couldn't resist trying out the native language. I really loved staying here. If you have any mobility problems or a heart condition, make sure you find out what floor you're on. We were on the fourth floor and loved doing the stairs (it helped work off some of the delicious food!), but I can imagine that they might be a challenge for some

We were most impressed to be rung here in UK by EasyRez to ask how tall we are… because the only room now available had limited head height. The room was very small, with even lower eaves. We were warned, and didn’t mind, others might! We did feel that a small reduction on the price would have been appropriate. Other than this, it was a charming hotel, full of character, helpful staff, and excellent restaurant. A most enjoyable stay.

"Fantastic - a must stay!!!!"

A fantastic location, a European style experience, great gourmet restaurant, very friendly staff, clean, could not have been better, we would definitely highly recommend it and we will definitely be back!!

We had a great time, and the hotel was great. The staff was great. Since we didn't know French, they made it very easy for us. You can't find a better location for the hotel, as it was central to everything.

"Excellent Location"

The place is located within easy walking distance of everything in the old city. The staff was very helpful. Our room was a little "tired" but comfortable and quite spacious. The only real negative was that there is no elevator and the stairs are narrow…would not recommend it for older travelers. Parking was at the City Hall parking at a reduced rate if tickets purchased at the hotel.
