Mount Washington Resort is twenty five kilometres west of the Comox Valley, which is one hundred kilometres north of Nanaimo. The four bedroom condo is a three hour drive north from the city of Victoria via the Island Highway and Strathcona Parkway. Passengers arriving into Victoria’s International Airport will also have a three hour drive, or can opt to fly on a commuter service to the regional Courtenay and Campbell River airports. From either airport Mount Washington is roughly a thirty minute drive. B.C. Ferries offers service into Nanaimo from either Horseshoe Bay or Tsawwassen terminals on mainland British Columbia. This is much more convenient than the Swartz Bay Terminal (north of the Victoria International Airport). A rail service travels from Victoria to Courtenay on “The Malahat.” The once daily train departs Victoria in the early morning, with the return leaving from Courtenay in the afternoon. The rail route is one of the most scenic on the island and is roughly a four and a half hour trip. Public transport is readily available from the various airports, ferry and bus locations.
