Mount Washington is twenty five kilometres west of the Comox Valley, which is just under one hundred kilometres north of the mid island city of Nanaimo. These three bedroom condos are three hours north from Victoria via the Island Highway and Strathcona Parkway. Passengers flying into Victoria’s International Airport will also have about a three hour drive, or may elect to take a commuter plane to the regional Courtenay and Campbell River airports. From either of these local airports Mt. Washington is less than thirty minutes away. B.C. Ferries offers scheduled service into Nanaimo from either the Horseshoe Bay or Tsawwassen terminals on mainland British Columbia. This is a much closer option than arriving into Swartz Bay (located north of the Victoria International Airport). A daily train service is offered from Victoria to Courtenay on “The Malahat” train. It departs downtown Victoria in the early morning, returning from Courtenay in the afternoon. The ride is one of the most scenic on Vancouver Island and is about a four and a half hour trip. Public transport is readily available on the island.
