Mont Tremblant Information
Mont Tremblant Quebec, once home to First Nations peoples, then a productive source for furs and
lumber to supply the increasing demand of European and North American markets, Mont Tremblant's
rise to a premier ski destination began with the opening of the Petit Train du Nord. This lifeline
from Montreal, dubbed the "ski train", brought hardy souls to the mountain beginning in the 1920's,
long before a lift system was even thought of. Skiers would climb the mountain on skis, and then
zoom back down through the forest. Overnight Mont Tremblant accommodation, such as the townhomes,
luxury resorts and spas found today just didn't exist.
The first chairlift wasn't installed on Mount Tremblant until 1939, the same year that
Mt Tremblant Lodge opened. This was the true beginning of the resort's rise to the award
winning ski and outdoor lover's paradise it is today. Today Mont Tremblant Accommodations are offered
in variety of styles and budgets. Quaint B&B's dot the landscape. Vacation rentals, some waterfront, some
surrounded by acreage that ensures the highest degree of privacy possible are available in all sizes.
Mont Tremblant Condos
