Waikiki Beach Hotels

Home to world famous Waikiki Beach and its signature Diamond Head Crater, Oahu is the most populated of the Hawaiian chain. The state capital, Honolulu with its historic and vibrant downtown core and the never sleeping beach side district of Waikiki make up this modern, cosmopolitan, multicultural hub of the 50th state.

Some visitors come for the nightlife, the shopping and the world class restaurants, others to perfect their tans on the warm sands of Waikiki. Go beyond Waikiki, to the wild North Shore with its skyscraper sized surf, to the high plains covered with pineapple plantations, or take the scenic drive up the eastern shoreline past Chinaman's Hat and Manana (Rabbit) Island and you will find Oahu really does offer the best of both worlds.

Oahu is also home to Pearl Harbour, the scene of the December 7th attack that propelled the United States into WWII on the Pacific front. Visit the Arizona Memorial, a moving experience that honours those still resting on the bottom of Pearl Bay. Adjacent to the Arizona Memorial is a vintage trolley car ready to take you to the USS Missouri, affectionately known as the "Mighty Mo." Tour this magnificent battleship and see the spot on its deck where the war in the Pacific ended with the surrender of Japan.

Maui: View Accommodations

Named for a Hawaiian god that is said to have lassoed the sun to slow its track across the sky, Maui is truly sun kissed. Those wanting nightlife, luxurious accommodations and a decadent choice of activities combined with astounding natural beauty will find this island enchanting.

Ka'anapali Beach, on the western side of the island, is known for its wide sandy beaches, and is the most popular area on the island. Dotted with hotels and condos, some of the luxury variety, this is nirvana for those looking to spend lots of time having fun in the sun, shopping, dining and partying after hours. Wailea, Kehei and Makena on the south east is also a popular tourist draw with their fair share of sand and sun and eye popping hotels. From these areas it is easy to explore the one time whaling town of Lahaina, book a whale watching cruise or snorkelling excursion to Molokini Island, an underwater nature preserve.

Golf anyone? There are 17 championship courses available for play and we can arrange tee times at many of them. Play the greens that have been played by the best and enjoy beautiful ocean views while you are at it.

Looking for something a bit more remote? Take the road to Hana, a scenic two lane twisty route that offers something new at every turn...all 600 of them on its 52 mile length from Kahului to Hana. Lets not forget the 54 one lane bridges...this is truly an all day scenic adventure. At the end of the road is laid back, rural Hana, home to among other things, the final resting place of famed aviator Charles Lindbergh.

Take a drive to the summit of Haleakala, the dormant volcano that dominates Maui's eastern side. The drive from the beaches of Kaanapali winds upward and the changes in climate, mood and vegetation is dramatic. For a truly spiritual experience, be there at the summit for sunrise...it is awe inspiring.

Kaua'i

Starting as far back as "South Pacific" on Lumahai Beach to more modern adventures such as "Jurassic Park" and "Raiders of the Lost Ark", this lush, tropic isle has shared billing with many a big screen and television production. The oldest of the main Hawaiian Islands, it is the greenest, and in some spots the wettest. In fact, the wettest spot on earth, Mt. Waialeale, can be found in Waimea Canyon, the Grand Canyon of the Pacific.

The southern part of the island is warm, sunny and the home to hotel and condo friendly Poipu Beach. This area is a favourite of surfers and sun worshipers. The north shore, wetter, wilder and home to both luxury resorts and laid back condos is also the gateway to the traditional town of Hanalei Bay. Explore the Hawaii of yesterday, take a tour into Kauai's back country, swim, snorkel, sail, charter a fishing boat, it is all here for you on this laid back, friendly isle. Hawai'i: View Accommodations

Hawaii, otherwise known as the Big Island, is the youngest of the chain, and is still growing. Kilauea Crater at Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park has been steadily erupting and adding acreage since the late 1980's and there appears to be no end in sight. One of the most memorable tours on the Big Island is taking a heli-tour that flies over the point where molten lava enters the sea. Where else can you see land being born firsthand? This is a definite photo op if there ever was one.

The Big Island has more land mass than the rest of the Hawaiian Islands put together. The western part of the island, home to quaint Kailua Kona town, is hot, desert like, with resorts and condos and towns springing up as scattered oasis amidst age old and geologically recent lava flows. Kailua Kona is famous for its deep sea fishing excursions and sailfish of mammoth proportions have been caught along this coastline. The western side of the island is known for spectacular sunsets, incredibly scenic golf courses and warm hearted hospitality.

The eastern side is more tropical, wetter and more humid. The largest town, Hilo is midway up the eastern coast and has its own assortment of hotels, restaurants as well as the first and the largest mall on the island. Hilo Bay offers plenty of sand and gentle waters for swimming and just enjoying some fun in the sun. Laid back, slower paced and scenic, this is a remnant of mid 20th century Hawaii.
