This intimate hotel is located at the entrance to Banff National Park in the Canmore region of the Canadian Rockies. The self contained hotel has shopping and dining venues on site with additional services found in the town of Banff and in the local Canmore area. Canmore is in the province of Alberta, less than two hours west of Calgary International Airport. Calgary is the closest airport with direct or one stop service available from several major North American, Asian and European cities. Scheduled and charter bus services are available from the airport terminal, as are car rental outlets. If renting a car, particularly in winter, a four wheel drive vehicle is advised. Canadian Rocky Mountain winter driving can be a challenge; so take it slow and enjoy the scenery. Winter visitors will find excellent skiing at no less than five world class ski resorts and summer guests will enjoy teeing up at some of the most incredibly scenic courses in North America. Unusual local golf hazards to look out for are wandering elk and the occasional curious bear or cougar.
